Policies

Physical ID is required for all appointments

You must be 18 or older to sign a tattoo release form for yourself. Some piercings have an age restriction of 18, while others have a restriction of 16. Please review our piercing age restrictions before you book your appointment.

Please ensure you bring a physical copy of your government-issued identification with you. If you are signing for your child, a physical copy of both your ID and your child's ID must be present. For minors, this identification can be a health card, birth certificate, or passport. If you do not have a physical copy of identification as requested we will have to rebook your appointment for a later time and or date, no exceptions. There is a $15.00 rebooking fee

ALL appointments require ID, except for consultations and jewellery changes. PHOTOS OF ID ARE NOT ACCEPTED. The ID used must be government-issued. This can include birth certificates, driver’s licences, identification cards, health cards, passports, PAL, treaty cards etc. It is up to our clients to thoroughly review our policies before their tattoo or piercing appointment.

Children and Underage Policy:

Kids are not allowed to come to your tattoo or piercing appointment. Our personal liability insurance does not cover accidents if a child is left unattended in the lobby or is brought into the room during the service. This is a distraction to both you and your service provider and can cause a cross contamination risk. We do not allow children 12 years old or younger in the studio unless they are receiving a service (ex. a Kid’s Ear Piercing). So please find appropriate child care for your children under the age of 12 years.

If your child has a piercing appointment, your other children under 12 years old CAN NOT accompany you at your appointment. This is an adult setting and we ask you to respect that and understand why.

We do not tattoo children. Please allow your child to be a child until they are 16 years of age. Anyone under the age of 18 will require parental consent to be tattooed. They must also book a tattoo consultation before an appointment is scheduled. It is up to the artist’s discretion, they may refuse to perform the tattoo at any time. If the client is under 18 years old, we will not tattoo wrists, forearms, neck etc. Some exceptions can be made, such as memorial tattoos.
Physical ID is required for all appointments.

In-Studio Policy

We ask our clients to be respectful of our space. We ask that you only bring ONE person with you for support. We have limited space, so anyone not receiving a service (or anyone who is not your ONE support person) will be asked to wait outside. For any appointments that are done outside of our operating hours, you will not be able to bring anyone in with them due to insurance purposes.

Deposits are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferrable

Tattoo Deposits:
Deposits are non-refundable. They are required to secure your appointment - if we haven’t received your deposit, you do not have an appointment. Generally, deposits are the cost of half of the service. However, deposit amounts do vary by artist. The minimum deposit required at our shop is $120. Deposits can be made via cash, credit, debit, or e-transfer. We do not accept AMEX, Pre-paid Visa, or Pre-paid Mastercard. Your artist will let you know when it is time to send a deposit. If there are any extraneous circumstances such as moving, we will make note of your deposit for future use. There is also an option to transfer your deposit to a gift card, the giftcard has to be used with the original artist. If you arrive at your appointment smelling of alcohol or appear to be drunk or high, you will lose your deposit and your appointment. Please remember to give us the following information at the time of the deposit - artist name, date and time of appointment, and your phone number or else it may not be accepted. Lastly, please eat 2 hours before your appointment otherwise you may feel unwell.

Piercing Deposits:
Deposits are non-refundable if you miss your appointment. They are required for oral piercings, VCH piercings, dermals, and kids’ ear piercings, or when 2 or more piercings are booked. These deposits vary in amount, depending on the service chosen. In some cases, same-day walk-ins will require a deposit. These can be paid through Paypal when you book your appointment online, e-transfer, debit, or credit. Please note we do not accept AMEX, Prepaid Visa, or Pre-paid Mastercard. Deposits are non-transferable. If you arrive at your appointment smelling of alcohol or appear to be drunk or high, you will lose your deposit and your appointment. Lastly, please eat 2 hours before your appointment otherwise you may feel unwell. Please ensure to cancel your appointment timely so we can issue a refund if you can not make it to your scheduled appointment time. A full refund will be issued if you do not have the correct anatomy for the piercing.

Why do we take deposits?
Deposits ensure that your appointment time isn’t given to anyone else. Our artists and piercers work outside of service hours to accommodate your appointment. Please respect their time as much as they respect yours.

Gift Card Policy

Gift cards do not expire. However, take a photo of the front and back of the gift card, so we can re-issue a new card if the one you had was lost. If there is no photo of the gift card, we will be unable to re-issue a new card. You do need the physical gift card brought to the shop in person to use it.
Photos are only accepted to re-issue a new card.

Promo gift cards:
Promo gift cards do expire. Please note that only the person’s name on the promo card or who won the card can redeem the value of the card. No exceptions. You can only use one promo card per service. Piercing promo cards are for single piercings only not doubles. Promo cards cannot be combined. Promo cards cannot be used for taxes, deposits or tips as they hold no monetary value. These cards can only be used for services NOT merchandise.
Christmas Promo Cards from 2019 can only be used for tattoos NOT piercings as stated during the promo.

Artwork Policy

Our artists create custom work. They also will tattoo flash work, pinball (Get What You Get), and other types of tattoo designs and requests. Our artists must pre-approve all ideas that are brought to us. If we feel that the idea will not transform into a nice tattoo, we will decline the idea. This is because we are not money-driven. We want you to leave our shop with a beautiful tattoo. However, our artists will work with you to find an alternative design that you will love.
Once the design is in place, you may not change your mind about its design. Minor changes are allowed only once. If there is a complete design change, a drawing fee will be charged to you and you may potentially lose your deposit.

Touch-up Policy

We offer touch-ups within 6 months of the original appointment date. Some artists require a different amount of time. Contact your artist directly. We do, however, charge a $20 set-up fee to cover the increasing prices of supplies unless otherwise stated by the artist. Hands and feet are not included in our touch-ups. All touch-ups have to be done by the original artist, if the artist move studios you do have to see the artist at that studio.

Cancellation Policy

We require 72 hours’ notice to re-schedule an appointment, unless you are ill. You can only re-schedule a tattoo appointment once. If the weather is preventing you from arriving at your appointment, contact your artist and we can re-schedule you.
If you are ill, please contact your artist or the shop to re-schedule - you must contact your artist at least 2 hours before your scheduled appointment time. This includes symptoms of COVID-19 as well as any unexplained symptoms.

Do we tattoo significant others’ names or hands, faces or fingers?

No, unless it is a memorial tattoo. We will tattoo the names of children, grandparents, parents etc. We also will not tattoo fingers, lips or faces unless the artist feels comfortable offering you this service. Ask your artist for more details. Please note when booking a hand, finger tattoo, touch ups are not included.

Can I bring anyone with me to my appointment?

We ask that you try not to bring an audience to your appointment, we do understand some people are nervous for their tattoo or piercing and do feel better if they bring someone. Please follow your tattoo artist policies about another person in the room or you can ask. If your person of choice is being a distraction to the client or artist, we will ask them to leave. Tattooing and piercing take concentration
